We’re delighted that you and your child are taking part in Generation R. We are carrying out a study into the growth, development and health of children. We are very grateful for your participation in our study. Only with your help can we ensure that all children in the Netherlands enjoy a good and healthy upbringing. We are trying to find out why some children develop well, while others do not. 10,000 children and their parents are taking part in this study. All the children were born in Rotterdam.

Generation R is world famous. This is partly because of the composition of the participants. All ethnic groups in Rotterdam are represented in Generation R. So besides children with Dutch parents, there are lots of Turkish, Moroccan, Surinam, Antillean and Cape Verdean children taking part. It is extremely important for the study that everyone continues to participate.
